Woah where have I been?

Hey Everyone,

Wow it’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything, I could bore you with all the typical excuses… but I’d rather not:) Well here’s a couple cool updates, my beautifull wife Tara and I just found we’re going to be parents for a second time! I’m so excited i can hardly stand it! We haven’t had the ultrasound yet but I’m sure my little Fortune 500 CEO is just fine and ready to change the world. As soon as i get the ultrasound photo back and i’ll try and stick it up here so you all can take a peak.

Also what’s been keeping me busy is my men’s club “SCGA Match Play Event” that has spanned the past 5 weeks… and guess what our team was able to battle it’s way into the playoffs… cool cool stuff:) The battle continues March 8th, we’re anxiously awaiting the results and the challenger for the next round, but judging by the talent we’ve seen so far its going to be a knock down drag out

We’ve had a pretty intense year in regards to mother nature and her fury. We’ve had the fallout from the storm in the Northwest roll through here these last few days, and this was the result. This was taken from our back patio, not a bad spot to have your Sunday morning coffee if i do say so myself :)

Well I turned 32 on Tuesday….

I mean everyone that knows me can agree that i still look amazing (sarcasm off), but man it’s really a sad day when you don’t look forward to your birthday anymore. The perfect example is I still go to a Punk Rock show from time to time (not even close to how I used to, maybe once a year) but I get there order my beer look around and realize, god I must have 10 years on all these kids… and i do!!! Ugh how depressing.

What makes me happy these days is my family. What makes me smile is beautiful daughter Payton and watching her grow and see her become more beautiful and smart everyday, i wish i could express what it’s like going home and having someone run to the door and scream “Daddy Daddy I missed you today!! It doesn’t matter how horrible your day is or how tired you are that little voice makes everything in the world right again.

Second in no particular order for fear of an Italian beat down of biblical proportions is how great it is being married to my amazing wife Tara. You ever heard a guy say “My wife is perfect, I don’t think i could’ve ever found someone as perfect as her.” well that’s my wife, sure she’s a little wacky sometimes but that’s what i love about her. She really is perfect, beautiful and i love her with all my heart.  Too be honest I still really haven’t put my finger on how or why she fell in love with must be my sense of humor :)

Santiago Canyon Fire 2007

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted but it’s been a pretty wild November for me and my family. As many of you close to me and my family know we were evacuated from our home in Trabuco Canyon due to the fires that ravaged the Santiago Canyon area in Orange County. The fires got within a few 100 yards of our back patio, It really is an surreal experience to go through something like this. It really puts your life in prospective and makes you appreciate what you have and that your family is safe, fortunately my wife and daughter where out of town the night of the evacuation… others where not so fortunate and lost property and lives. There really is no words to describe what it’s like to pack up everything you can’t afford to loose, financial paperwork, family photos, Animals etc. then walking to your front door locking it and thinking to yourself this is it, this is everything i have… this is everything I’ve worked so hard to obtain and I can come back tomorrow and it could all be gone. I sincerely hope that my family and I will never have to experience something like this again, it truly was the scariest 5 days of my life.

All photos where taken from my back patio, with the exception of the chopper photos which where shot in the park around the corner from the house.
